Sermons and Bible teaching from Alistair Begg. Alistair has been in pastoral ministry since 1975. Following graduation from The London School of Theology, he served eight years in Scotland at both Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Hamilton Baptist Church.
In 1983, he became the senior pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio. He has written several books and is heard daily and weekly on the radio program, Truth For Life. The teaching on Truth For Life stems from the week by week Bible teaching at Parkside Church.
He and his wife, Susan, were married in 1975 and they have three grown children.

Before Abraham was what? Born, or appointed a Father to a multitude? Before Abrahams was appointed a Father to a multitude, Abraham was taking his son to slaughter, then lied to issac as to who was being slaughtered..... God did not ask for the child, he asked for Abrahams alter ego, the one who made him laugh at God when told he would have a second child, it was his own understanding... Father of lies, pictured in his own mind a child sacrifice.... Jesus was Abrahams fruits, and he was glad to see the day!! And thats your understanding of a good Father!

I have real questions about the Bible. We are to take it literal and as we word of God. Yet there are two versions, an old and a new. We are told it was written by those who were given messages by god yet if we felt god spoke to us today we’re told that’s false and only the words of the Bible are true. We know that evil ones have been trying to deceive us for eons and they change history and rewrite books so why are we to believe that the Bible was not messed with? I believe in God, I believe in Jesus but I’m torn by following the Bible so literally.

I have suffered much, as well my friend, & I learned early on in my walk with the Lord, that ultimately, through the hardships brought on by myself, & sometimes others, that I would in time, turn to the Lord for guidance🙏🏻. And that is what He is looking for I believe, for us to come to Him, of our own volition, to desire a relationship with Him. 2 CORINTHIANS 7:9 Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to repent and change your ways. This is a good message to preach at pastor conferences
All the commandments were given byGod for the benefit of His creation, expecting obedience to them so they would be blessed for their keeping. The problem is that men want to play God and changed proudly the Sabbath Day to a Sunday Sabbath. The Jews made the commandments very burdensome deciding what was good to do or not to do on the Sabbath, and If they did not obey what they had added to the words of God , they call them sinners and would be condemned, they would not be saved , they made it a works salvation and not by faith in the gospel. Today,the same things happen in churches that teach salvation by Jesus plus law works , they they teach salvation with sanctification together for been accepted in heaven. That is the problem, Salvation is only through faith in the gospel of Jesus.
I am 84 yrs old and still can hear my Mother singing Jesus love me to me as a very little girl oh what a precious memory. Now I'm waiting for the day I see Him face to face.
